EFT Card Services

EFT Card Services refer to the centralized switching solution, offered to member BFIs for processing of card transactions including card issuance and acquiring of various national and international payment networks. The service facilitates routing of card transactions across channels such as ATM, POS and e-commerce. Currently, there are over 4 Million cards in circulation, 1,600+ ATMs and 10,000+ POS machines operated by 11-member BFIs.

Available Services

  • Card Issuance and AcquiringEFT Card Solution provides end-to-end card issuance and acquiring services to member BFIs for various card types including Debit, Credit and Prepaid cards. Currently issuance is done for VISA cards and acquiring for 3 major international networks (VISA, Mastercard and Union Pay). The system supports both contact and contactless transactions.
  • Card PersonalizationCard Personalization solution streamlines the process of inputting the personal information of cardholder into chip card, including cardholder name, card number, CVV, and expiry date. Member BFIs can securely access card data files and print cards at their own premises.
  • Terminal ManagementATM and POS terminals of member BFIs are set up, configured and monitored to ensure smooth operation. The system comprises of end-to-end processing of transactions through various terminals.
  • Transaction Processing, Settlement and ReportingEFT Card Service also includes processing and routing of card transactions, clearing and settlement of fund, report generation and circulation among member BFIs and the card networks.
  • 3D Secure ACS3D Secure ACS (Access Control Server) is a security protocol used to add an additional layer of authentication in the online payment process. This protocol helps ensure security of ecommerce transactions via card, by allowing cardholders to confirm their identity using authentication methods such as PIN, Password or OTP.
  • E-Commerce Payment GatewayAn e-commerce payment gateway is a service that authorizes and process payments for online purchases. This service facilitates member BFIs to acquire online merchants and enables them to accept online card payments from their customers.
  • Green PINGreen PIN is a paperless pin generated and delivered as One-Time Password (OTP) directly to cardholder’s registered mobile number, which is required to activate the card before performing a transaction. The system facilitates PIN change through ATM as well as POS terminals (operated by the BFI branches).
  • Cardless WithdrawalCardless withdrawal is a convenient banking service that allows customers to withdraw cash from an ATM without using a physical card. Instead of a card, customers use their bank’s mobile banking application or connectIPS to initiate a cash withdrawal transaction. This process involves generating a One-Time Password (OTP), which is used to authenticate and complete the Cash Withdrawal at ATM.
  • Web Service APIsWeb Service APIs allow member BFI’s cardholders to perform various card-related services such as card activation, blocking, unblocking, pin refresh, etc. via mobile apps or web platforms. These services update card status in real-time based on request from users.
  • Visa Scan to PayVISA Scan to Pay enables customers to link their VISA card to a mobile application and make transaction by scanning a QR code. The solution enables transactions without the need for a physical card.
  • Visa Direct - Fund ReceiptVisa Direct facilitates real-time fund transfers between individuals, businesses, and financial institutions globally. Visa Direct fund receipt service is available to the member BFIs that facilitates cardholders to receive fund directly in their card from more than 100 countries around the world.
  • Monitoring & Help DeskA dedicated Monitoring Team facilitates 24*7 first level support to provide necessary information and handle the issues/queries of member BFIs and their end customers.
