Nepali travellers can now make convenient and secure digital payments in Sri Lanka by scanning and paying at LankaQR merchants directly from their domestic mobile payment applications including connectIPS. Through the cross-border QR payment integration between Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) and LankaPay, users can pay seamlessly at over 4 lakh+ LankaQR merchants across Sri Lanka.
Whether shopping, dining, travelling, or making everyday purchases, users can simply scan the LankaQR code and pay instantly using their home digital payments β connectIPS or selected domestic mobile payment/banking app enabled for LankaQR.
LankaQR is Sri Lankaβs national QR payment platform. It is an interoperable QR code standard that complies with EMVCo specifications, enabling customers to make seamless payments across participating financial institutions using any LANKAQR-enabled mobile payment application. It is available as QR sticker or mobile/POS terminals. It supports international payment systems including connectIPS, selected mobile payment/banking app of Nepali Banks and Financial Institutions enabled for LankaQR, Alipay+ and UPI.
